Past Account HighlightsJEEP TAHOE TO RENO MOUNTAIN SERIES TRIATHLONLake Tahoe/Reno Castle Communications handled all logistics, media placement and publicity for this special sports event, which became a 1-hour television special on ESPN and Primeticket. This mountain bike/horseback ride and running sports spectacular was the first of its kind. Starting on the shore of Lake Tahoe, winding over two mountain passes in the Sierra, this renown event ended at the famous arch in downtown Reno. CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - DIVISION OF RAIL Sacramento Castle Communications coordinated special market events to increase awareness of and create traffic on AMTRAK trains throughout the state of California. In conjunction with sports package promotions (California Angels/Los Angeles Rams/Oakland A's), Castle Communications designed media buys, special market events, and promotional cooperative tie-ins to highlight AMTRAK's exciting in-state transportation network. THE JOE MORGAN CELEBRITY GOLF CLASSIC Granite Bay The Joe Morgan Celebrity Golf Classic brings nationally recognized celebrities from the sports and entertainment fields to the Sacramento area for a charity golf tournament in September. The proceeds from this tournament go to benefit the Joe Morgan Youth Foundation, a mentoring program for at-risk children. Castle Communications handles all public relations for this event including pre-event press conferences, on-site daily press briefings, and all media relations for the tournament. THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION Sacramento Castle Communications worked with the State Division of Recycling to implement and design promotions surrounding "Recycle Week" and other recycling programs throughout the year. Negotiating, creating promotional tie-ins and supervising the implementation of all media promotions in the target market areas of Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Sacramento resulted in the promotional value doubling the advertising budget. THE NATIONAL SENIOR PRO RODEO FINALS Reno This event is the culmination of the National Senior's Pro Rodeo Circuit - featuring prize money of over $100,000.00. Castle Communications set up all national sponsorship programs and promotions with tie-ins, which included Budweiser, Tony Lama and Wrangler. Castle Communications handled all aspects of event advertising and publicity, including a concurrent rodeo trade show which featured over 200 exhibitors. |
